Swann Electronics was founded in 1956 manufacturing sockets, plugs and connectors for the local black and white Television Industry. During the early 1970's Swann diversified into the manufacture of switches and indicators for the White Goods and associated industries.
Swann continues to be Australia's leading manufacturer and supplier to the Australian appliance industry.
During the early nineties , Swann added to the business specialized wiring looms for the Automotive safety industry which has now become a significant part of the Swann range of products. In 2005 Swann added to its' scope of products a range of temperature limiting devices and protectors as well as switches and relays from Thermik, Inter Control, Rainbow and EMB. Swann is the official distributor of these products in the Oceanic Region. The products are designed for the household-appliance, lighting and industrial markets. Swann Electronics has a modern manufacturing facility in Hallam incorporating full Design, Engineering and testing facilities all accredited to the Automotive TS16949 Quality Standard to ensure their customers get the highest quality products, service and delivery.
